EVEN IN YOUR SKIN YOU’RE HIDING

Even in your skin you’re hiding‘, Amsterdam 2015; was a comment on the artists thoughts around coming into womanhood.

A concept she wrestled with facing ongoing treatment for PCOS that threatened her fertility, and subsequently her body.  This installation addressed the artists thoughts on social arrangements and self-conception.

Comments on the prominent female relationships in her life, such as the mother-daughter and sister-sister ties that she attributes to shaping her view of her world and of herself were a central theme. ‘Even in Your Skin You’re Hiding’ was a textile in context project including the production of 3d work and mixed media.

This body of work is a response.
